Samsung was set to reveal the spec details of its Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on February 25 at a special Unpacked event preceding the Mobile World Congress, but details may have already been leaked.
German publication Winfuture published marketing materials and press renders that seem to come from Samsung.
While we will have to wait until next week to see the accuracy of these leaked materials, this early report indicates the Galaxy S9 will have the following features:
- An Infinity Display that is the same featured on the Galaxy S8 series. The resolution will be 2,960 x 1,440 pixels.
- Either a Snapdragon 845 or Samsung Exynos 9810 processor, depending on your region. The S9 model will feature 4GB of RAM, and the S9+ will feature 6GB.
- The S9 will feature a 12MP rear camera that will allow users to set the aperture between f.1/5 and f/2.4. The S9+ will have dual rear cameras, and one will default to f/2.4. Both phones will feature a 8MP front-facing camera with autofocus.
- The base model of both smartphones will have 64GB of storage, though larger models may be available. Storage can be expanded with a microSD card.
Other features will be similar to the current S8 models, including battery size. The phones will also be available in four colors: Coral Blue, Lilac Purple, Midnight Black, and Titanium Gray, and will be available for pre-order on February 25. They should hit store shelves on March 8.
