Taxes are extra, video is limited to 480p, and the slow hotspot makes cheaper prepaid alternatives more compelling for many users. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: it is a credible fit for the right usage pattern, but it is not an automatic best choice for everyone.
