Our Opinion
Cost-conscious shoppers who want direct T-Mobile service and have strong local coverage should consider this plan. The $55 monthly price includes unlimited service, 50GB of premium data, 5G access, Scam Shield, and unlimited hotspot use at 3G speeds.
The recorded package includes 5G access, scam Shield, 50GB premium data, unlimited hotspot at max 3G speeds, and 1 more listed feature. Its Unlimited at max 3G speeds hotspot allowance is useful only if that speed and amount match the way you tether.
Taxes cost extra, video is limited to 480p, and hotspot performance is restricted to 3G speeds. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: it is a credible fit for the right usage pattern, but it is not an automatic best choice for everyone.
