Our Opinion
This is SaveOnPhone's recommendation for light data use, and Wi-Fi-heavy users with strong local T-Mobile coverage should choose it. We pick Tello’s 2GB Plan for Wi-Fi-heavy users with strong local T-Mobile coverage because it provides unlimited talk and text, 2GB of phone or hotspot data, and a flexible 30-day cycle for $10 per month.
The recorded package includes 2GB data, unlimited talk & text, 2GB hotspot, free international calls to 60+ countries, and 2 more listed features. Its 2GB hotspot allowance is useful only if that speed and amount match the way you tether.
Taxes cost extra, and the 2GB allowance is too small for frequent streaming or other substantial cellular use. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: this can save real money for a disciplined light user, but it leaves little room for surprise data use.
