Our Opinion
Consider TracFone's $20 Smartphone Plan if Verizon coverage is reliable locally and you use little cellular data. The plan provides unlimited talk and text, 4GB of carryover data, and hotspot capability without a contract.
The recorded package includes 4GB carryover data, unlimited talk & text, hotspot capable, no contract. Its Included hotspot allowance is useful only if that speed and amount match the way you tether.
Taxes cost extra, and $20 for only 4GB is uncompetitive with several lower-priced light-use plans. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: this can save real money for a disciplined light user, but it leaves little room for surprise data use.
