Our Opinion
Consider TracFone's $40 Plan only if Verizon coverage is dependable locally and carryover or existing account convenience outweighs price. The plan includes 20GB of data, unlimited talk and text, hotspot capability, and calling and texting to Canada and Mexico without requiring Auto Pay.
The recorded package includes 20GB data, unlimited talk & text, hotspot capable, international talk and text to Canada and Mexico. Its Included hotspot allowance is useful only if that speed and amount match the way you tether.
The $40 price excludes taxes and is high for a fixed 20GB allowance, especially given TracFone's limited support appeal. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: it is a credible fit for the right usage pattern, but it is not an automatic best choice for everyone.
