Our Opinion
People who need only calling and texting should consider this plan solely when direct Verizon coverage is essential locally. The ongoing $30 AutoPay price provides unlimited talk and text without a contract or long prepayment period.
The recorded package includes unlimited talk and text, data limited to 2G speeds, $35 first month.
Usable high-speed data is absent, taxes cost extra, and the first month costs $35. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: this can save real money for a disciplined light user, but it leaves little room for surprise data use.
