Our Opinion
This is SaveOnPhone's recommendation for most wireless shoppers who have solid local coverage on at least one of its selectable networks. We pick US Mobile Unlimited Starter for shoppers with solid local coverage on at least one selectable network because its $199 first-year annual price includes taxes, unlimited service, up to 70GB of premium data, 10GB to 20GB of hotspot data, and a choice of AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon, though it renews at the full price.
The recorded package includes unlimited data, 70GB premium data on Warp/Light Speed, dark Star high-speed data unthrottled, 20GB hotspot data (varies by network), and 4 more listed features. Its 20GB on Dark Star; 10GB on Warp and Light Speed hotspot allowance is useful only if that speed and amount match the way you tether.
The introductory price requires $199 upfront, and service can slow after 70GB on Warp or Light Speed while hotspot allowances vary by network. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: we would put this on a budget-unlimited shortlist if your selected network is reliable in your area.
