Our Opinion
Google Fi Unlimited Standard is SaveOnPhone's recommendation for families that need four lines and have strong local T-Mobile coverage. We pick Google Fi Unlimited Standard for families with strong local T-Mobile coverage because four lines cost $100 before taxes and each line includes 50GB of high-speed data, 25GB of hotspot use, Canada and Mexico data, and smartwatch connectivity.
The recorded package includes unlimited data (50GB premium), 25GB hotspot, data in Canada & Mexico, smartwatch connectivity. Its 25GB hotspot allowance is useful only if that speed and amount match the way you tether.
Taxes are extra, video is limited to 480p, and the advertised promotion expired before this review date. Compare the carrier's current checkout terms and test local coverage before transferring every line.
Bottom line: it is a credible fit for the right usage pattern, but it is not an automatic best choice for everyone.
